However, if the relative humidity is too low, it will cause cracking and drying defects such as honeycomb to occur or even increase.
3.Air circulation speed
Air circulation speed is another factor that affects the drying speed of wood. High-speed airflow can destroy the saturated steam boundary layer on the wood surface, thereby improving the heat and mass transfer conditions between the medium and the wood, and speeding up the drying speed. For hard-to-dry wood or when the wood moisture content is low, the moisture movement within the wood determines the drying speed; it is not practical to increase the evaporation rate of surface water by increasing the flow rate of the large medium, but will increase the water content gradient and increase the drying The risk of defects. 4.Wood species and structural characteristics
The wood of different tree species has different structures. The size and number of the pores and the size of the micropores on the pore membrane are very different. 6.Wood texture direction
Wood rays are conducive to water conduction. The water conduction along the radial direction of the wood is about 15% -20% greater than that along the chord direction. Therefore, the chord cutting board usually dries faster than the radial cutting board.
